Video
I really enjoy combining sound and image, editing video and creating worlds using 3D graphics software and post production techniques. Aside from the collaborative work Illusion of Control, the experimental videos here were created as part of my PhD Portfolio. A related thesis covering the production and artistic intentions behind the compositions can be found in the writing section of this site.
I created the four educational computer animations for problem gambling as a post doctoral research assistant at the department of Psychology, University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. During this time I also worked as an assistant for a sound study relating to gambling addiction.
You can view more videos, experiments and studies on my YouTube channel.
Thrice Removed Demo
2008. Demonstration for Thrice Removed. The video shows a computer model of the Sonic Lab Belfast. Virtual sound sources are moved around the model and their audio output is then played back through the real speakers of the Sonic Lab. These sound sources are connected to the characters and objects of the computer animation in the bottom left corner of the screen.
